Exclusive Golf Breaks

After 26 years of running Golf Tee Time Service, Graham Ruth has made a tentative step towards semi-retirement!

He has sold the UK part of the business to Nick Mier and Keith Parriss. Together the two of us have clocked up over 30 years working for GTTS and over 50 years in the golf industry! As you can tell, we are now trading under the name of Exclusive Golf Breaks. Aside from the name change and Graham moving his desk across the corridor, it will be business as usual.

Graham has retained the overseas part of the business and within this has set up a new venture to France, Bonjour Golf, using his experience and that of his team who had run these trips under the wing of Brittany Ferries for 26 years.

Nick Mier

I caught the golfing bug from a young age and have been a member of Tavistock Golf Club for over 30 years. Growing up two doors away from Graham (founder of Golf Tee Time Service) and his family, I was quickly introduced to the game!

I started with Golf Tee Time Service after completing my Business Studies degree back in 2004. Graham had just secured a contract with the South East Wales Tourist Board and this was my first project. From here other opportunities soon followed and we now have offerings across most parts of the UK and Europe.

Nowadays family life and the office take up much of my time but I still get out for the odd game when possible.

Keith Parriss

My golfing life started at Yelverton Golf Club, a natural course on the western edges of Dartmoor. Having made some money in my early teens from finding members' golf balls in the gorse bushes, then selling them back, I bought a few second-hand golf clubs and had a go myself. I progressed to became a junior member and was taught at the Junior Tuition sessions run by the club professional at the time, Eric Lester (8th, 1958 Open Championship). My game peeked in 1993 when I was crowned Club Champion, but family life and two hip operations, have put my playing days on hold.

When a vacancy arose for bar staff at the golf club, I took on the role for what I considered to be a stop gap, but this progressed to becoming house manager! Twenty-six years later it was time for a new challenge and this is when I joined Golf Tee-Time Service.

Most of my playing experience is on Southwest courses, but my knowledge of other areas has grown considerably and there will always be Graham Ruth's vast golfing experience to tap into in the adjacent office.

Ian Booth

Having spent thirty years in the Financial Services sector, I was fortunate enough in 2014 to be able to take early retirement. That good fortune extended to a game of golf with my great friend Graham Ruth, in February 2015. During our annual challenge match at Burnham & Berrow, Graham persuaded me that my future lay in what I loved, golf. So a decision was made, without much hesitation, to join his team at Golf Tee Time Service.

I started playing golf at the age of seven, so I now have fifty years of golfing experience behind me. My golf started and to this day remains at Pyle & Kenfig Golf Club where I’m extremely proud to have been our Centenary Captain during 2022. Over the years I've represented teams from club to international level. So you can imagine, this has involved much travel and I love sharing my knowledge and experience, for the benefit of others.

When I sought my second career, I had three goals that needed to be achieved, these were selling a product at a fair price, providing a great service for the customer and working with people I trust and respected. Golf Tee Time Service ticked all the boxes and eight years on, I can confidently say, nothing has changed.
